National and Provincial Parks, private RV campgrounds, and regional, urban and municipal parks are just a few that offer camping with numerous amenities from showers to flush toilets to sani-dump stations, providing plenty of convenience. On the other end of the spectrum, boondocking or wild camping on Crown Land requires being fully self-contained. In the middle, look for recreation sites and semi-serviced campgrounds, some with a caretaker, others self-maintained with a minimum of amenities, typically water and pit toilets designed to provide a basecamp for out-and-back hiking, mountain biking and more.
