Whether you're packing the truck, loading up the canoe, or heading out on foot, we're working hard to make sure you have the most accurate, detailed, and adventure-ready camping data in Canada, all in one app.
🏕️ Nearly 20,000 Campsites. One App.
With this update, the BRMB Maps App now includes over 18,500 camping points of interest across Canada. That includes everything from popular frontcountry campgrounds to hidden paddle-in gems:
- 3429 frontcountry campgrounds & group camping sites
- 1283 private campgrounds, often also offering cabins, lodges, or glamping
- 439 recreation areas with camping options (including BC Rec Sites)
- 805 hike-in campsites
- 9229 paddle-in campsites (including the BC Marine Trail sites)
- 104 day-use only rec sites for day trips
- 878 sani-dump locations (new addition!)
- Crown Land camping in AB, SK, MB, ON, QC, NB, PEI & NS
All of this is available in the BRMB Maps app for iOS, Android, and Web Map, organized by camping type to help you find what you're looking for faster.
🧭 New: Cleaner, Smarter Camping Info
In this update, we've really tuned into what truly matters when you're getting ready for an outdoor adventure. It's the little details that can turn a casual trip into a confident, enjoyable experience. Here's what's improved, to help make your planning smoother and more fun:
Updated Site Descriptions & Amenities
We’ve rewritten thousands of campsite listings across Canada to make them more helpful at a glance and more informative when you dig in. You'll now see expanded details like:
- Whether the site is pet-friendly or not
- The exact type of toilets on site (flush, pit, or none)
- Campfire rules (permitted, banned, or limited)
- Sani-dump availability for RV users
- What kind of access is required (2WD, hike-in, paddle-in, snowmobile, etc.)
- Amenities like showers, water taps, picnic shelters, and firewood
- If cell reception, EV charging, or Wi-Fi is available
These aren’t glamorous upgrades, but they’re the kind of practical info that can make or break a backcountry weekend.
Smarter Campsite Stats
Each campsite listing now includes more data where available, such as:
- The number of campsites and units
- Electricity, Water, and Hookups
- Group camping options
- Whether the site is open year-round or seasonal
- If reservations are required or available online
Icons and labels help you scan this info quickly, while full descriptions offer even more context to help you decide if a site is right for your trip.
Access Details & Nearby Adventures
We’ve added new icons and text to help you understand how to reach each site, whether by 2WD, 4WD, boat, trail, paddle route, or snowmobile.
Once you’re there, you’ll also see what activities are nearby: hiking trails, paddling routes, fishing lakes, biking paths, beaches, climbing spots, ski areas, and more.
⚠️ Not every listing is fully updated yet, but we’re working on it. We’re constantly adding more data, expanding descriptions, and updating amenities. You might notice some listings are more complete than others - that’s because we’re prioritizing based on popularity and feedback.
