Whether you are planning your next adventure from a campsite with no internet access or hiking deep in the wilderness with no cell phone reception, it is possible to view the maps anywhere and at any time. With the BRMB Maps App, you can download the area you need before heading out to access the map without cell service – just click on Tools > Save Map.
The GPS Maps are always saved to the SD Card, meaning users can simply plug in their card to view the maps, even in the deep backcountry with no cell phone service. No need to save the map in advance!
Device Differences
GPS units are designed to withstand thermal changes, have a better battery life than a smartphone, and are water-resistant. They also have better reception and will show your exact position on the map, even in remote backcountry areas. For this reason, the Backroad GPS Maps are a safer option for multi-day excursions into the wilderness.

The BRMB Maps App allows users to access the maps on a phone, tablet, or computer – all with the same account. Data can easily be synced between devices, meaning you can map out or plan your next adventure from your laptop at home and view the maps on your smartphone while camping or hiking.
With the GPS Maps, it is possible to use Garmin Basemap to access the maps and advanced tools from a computer at home, and then use your GPS unit while out in the wilderness.

Personalize Your Maps
The BRMB Maps App features multiple map styles and tons of updated information.
