GPS Maps Guarantee/Warranty

Each customer is eligible for one free map update within 90 days after registering their product if a new updated version becomes available. The Guarantee applies to one GPS Maps product and is NOT transferable to any other person or product. You will qualify for the free map update only if you register your product online at www.gpsmaps.ca and the map update will only be available during the 90 day period following the date you registered your product. The free map update is only available if and when a new version(s) becomes available within the 90 day period. You will not qualify for the free map update if you register your product more than 90 days after buying the product.

One Year Update: $19.95

If you purchase a One Year update you will receive one or more updates from your current version to the newest version available for the product that you originally purchased. If you purchased your product on a micro-SD card, you will receive the update in both the SD Card format and Computer version. If you purchased your product as a DVD product, then you will receive the update in the Computer version format. All updates are offered as a download. If you are on a slow internet connection, you also have the choice of purchasing the update on a DVD for a small fee.

5 Year Update: $49.95

If you purchase a 5 Year update program you will receive up to 2 updated versions per year for five years, when and as such new updated versions become available. If you purchased your product on a micro-SD card, you will receive the update in both the SD Card format and Computer version. If you purchased your product as a DVD product, then you will receive the update in the Computer version format. All updates are offered as a download. If you are on a slow internet connection, you also have the choice of purchasing the update on a DVD for a small fee.

Lifetime Update: $89.95

If you purchase a Lifetime update program you will receive up to 2 updated versions per year for the Lifetime of your product, when and as such new updated versions become available. If you purchased your product on a micro-SD card, you are entitled to the Lifetime update for the life of the purchased micro-SD card. If you purchased the DVD version of the product, the Lifetime update applies to the life of your registered GPS unit. All updates are offered as a download. If you are on a slow internet connection, you also have the choice of purchasing the update on a DVD for a small fee.

Return Policy:

We will not accept returns on any digital products if the packaging is opened. This includes both the SD and Backroad GPS Maps-DVD. However, we will offer an exchange for the identical product if the one you receive is defective (or you want to replace your SD card with the DVD version). Proof of purchase is required.

Note there is a $20 charge to switch your SD card to a DVD version. You will need to send the product back to us in its original packaging to be eligible for the exchange.

Damaged SD card policy:

Damaged SD cards can be exchanged under the following guidelines:

If the damage to the SD card happens within 90 days from the date of purchase (registration & proof of purchase is required), we will replace your SD Card for free. You will need to return the defective SD card back to us in its original packaging.

If the damage to the SD card happens after 90 days, but within one year of purchase (registration & proof of purchase is required), a charge of $25 applies for the new SD card. You will need to return the defective SD card back to us in its original packaging.

The customer is responsible for all return shipping charges of the product. A replacement item will be issued once we receive the returned merchandise. We do not refund the original billed shipping charges.

Changing units for DVD products Policy:

The DVD version of the Backroad GPS Map series is locked to the units. We will provide you with a new unlock key under the following guidelines:

If you replace your GPS unit within 90 days from the date of purchase (proof of purchase is required), we will provide a new unlock key free of charge.

If you replace your GPS unit after 90 days, but within one year of purchase (proof of purchase is required), a charge of $25 applies for the new unlock key.

Please be advised that the old key will be deactivated upon receipt of the new key.
